Meet the Medical Team

Dr. Jason Leclair graduated in medicine in 2008 and completed his family medicine training in 2010 at the University of Ottawa. Trained by Dr. Lucie Beaupré, he has been practicing phlebology since 2011. He specializes in ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, performs advanced VenaSeal treatments, and conducts research on evidence-based practices in sclerotherapy.

Dr. Leclair is the medical director of Medicart Ottawa: Vein & Aesthetics Clinic. In addition, he practices family medicine in Ottawa and works as a hospitalist at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. He also serves as the director of family medicine education services at the Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus and is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. A member of the Canadian Society of Phlebology, he places great importance on the safety and well-being of his patients while overseeing the clinic’s daily medical operations.

Dr. Lucie Beaupré graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Montreal and is a member of the Canadian Society of Phlebology and its advisory board. She is the first doctor in the Outaouais region certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.

In 1989, she founded Dr. Beaupré Vein Clinic in Ottawa, which became the most experienced phlebology clinic in the region. In 2018, she transferred her practice and patients to Medicart Ottawa. Passionate about her work, she continues to practice part-time and greatly values patient interactions. She also plays a key role in the training and supervision of physicians joining Medicart Ottawa Vein Clinic.

Dr. Lucie Beaupré remains an essential pillar in the advancement of sclerotherapy, leaving a lasting legacy in the field of vascular medicine.
