What to do before and after your treatment?
To optimize the results of your treatment, it is important to follow the recommendations in this section as well as any other instructions given by a member of our team during your visit.
Notify Us of Your Health Condition
During your treatment, please inform the staff of any changes in your health status or activities that may be relevant to your treatment.
Before the Treatment
- Stop using any anti-acne products (benzoyl peroxide) and products containing potential irritants (retinol, AHA, BHA, hydroquinone) 24 hours before the treatment.
- Avoid sunburn or significant tanning exposure 2 weeks before the treatment. Do not expose the area to the sun for 72 hours after the treatment. Use sunscreen with SPF 45 or higher daily.
- For men, shave the treatment area the day before if there is hair.
- Avoid anti-inflammatory medications 3 days before the treatment (may reduce results).
- Avoid waxing / hair removal cream / electrolysis / laser on the treatment area one week before the treatment.
- Wait 2 weeks after receiving filler injections or permanent makeup before receiving treatment. Wait 1 week after neuromodulator injections.
- Do not consume alcohol 24 hours before the treatment.
After the Treatment
After the treatment
- Do not touch your face for at least 4 hours.
- No makeup for 24 hours following the treatment.
- Stop using any anti-acne products (benzoyl peroxide) and products containing potential irritants (retinol, AHA, BHA, hydroquinone) for 24 hours after the treatment.
- Avoid intense physical exercise and sun exposure for 72 hours after the procedure.
- Wash your face only the day after the treatment.
- Apply a hyaluronic acid product if you feel dryness and/or tightness several times a day as needed, starting 4 hours after the treatment (HA5 from SkinMedica or a restorative cream).
- Change your pillowcase on the day of the treatment.
- Apply a minimum SPF 45 sunscreen, reapplying every 2 hours from the next day.
- Wipe your phone/glasses with 70% alcohol.
